Laura Benzoni

Laura’s passion for yoga started in her 20s and it was when she moved to Australia (in 2014), that she started her journey as a yoga teacher.

Andrea Ushananda Morava has been of great inspiration and a wonderful mentor as a yoga teacher.

Laura has attended several yoga teacher trainings, some of them being the Nicky Knoff teacher training, the two-year teacher training at the Fremantle Yoga Centre, the Chronic Illness yoga therapy training (Wisdom Yoga) and other specific trainings for yoga and mental health.

Laura’s specific areas of interest and specialisation are traditional hatha yoga and therapeutic yoga for trauma, anxiety and depression, chronic illness and pain management.

Alongside her yoga journey, she has worked in social services for about 20 years, particularly in programs aimed at supporting people in the context of immigration and forced migration, family and domestic violence and parenting and separation.

Laura firmly believes in the incredible potential for yoga to be part of the healing journey for trauma survivors and for supporting mental and physical health and transformation.

Laura is a Reiki practitioner, member of the Reiki Association of Western Australia.
